Throughout his tenure, he has fostered an athletics program centered on mentorship, accountability, and holistic student success while advancing the university’s mission and values.

Corey is widely respected for his humility, steady leadership, and commitment to supporting students, colleagues, and the broader campus community. His leadership contributed to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics conferring upon Bushnell its highest institutional honor, the National School of Character.

Congratulations to Annika Poet for receiving the Kendall E. Burke Award, one of Bushnell University`s highest honors! 🏆

Annika was presented the award during Spring Commencement, where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and received a medallion as a Song Nai Rhee Honors Scholar.

The recipient of the Dr. Kendall E. Burke Award, determined through a vote by the student body and faculty of Bushnell University, is presented with a distinctive Bible during the Spring Commencement service. This award is bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, served as a source of inspiration to both students and faculty, embodied high ideals of Christian character, and made significant contributions to the University’s mission. This distinguished honor was named in tribute to the late Dr. Kendall E. Burke’s wholehearted Christian service to the University.
