NCU senior Kaylin Salladay is going to find out what it is like to work at the “happiest place on earth” when she begins an internship through the Disney College Program this summer at Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
“I have been a big Disney fan my entire life,” said Salladay, a senior biology major from Springfield, Oregon. “I have been thinking about this opportunity since I was a freshman in high school.”
Salladay will participate in The Walt Disney Company’s renowned customer service training program, including taking seminars on effective communications, marketing, and business.
“Since I plan on going into the medical field in the future, understanding the use of proper communication will help me to better serve my patients,” Salladay said. “It will also allow me to expand on my people skills and learn how to form better relationships.”
Salladay says she will work in food and beverage service, but may have an opportunity to be part of one of the many Disney World Resort’s performances.
“I will audition for a character performer’s position in late February,” she said. “Either way, I am looking forward to interning at Disney World Resort.”
