Study Abroad

Global Study Programs

Your global adventure starts at Bushnell University. As a part of the larger global community, Bushnell University provides our students with dynamic opportunities to experience the world through global programs and study abroad.

Aside from providing a great travel experience, participation in global programs can produce significant returns on your investment for your academic, personal, and professional life. Take advantage of Bushnell’s life-changing international learning opportunities.

Global Initiative

Bushnell University has joined the Institute of International Education’s Generation Study Abroad initiative to help more Americans gain international experience through study abroad programs.

IIE’s Generation Study Abroad initiative seeks to mobilize resources and commitments with the goal of doubling and diversifying the number of U.S. students studying abroad by the end of the decade

Faculty-Led Study Abroad Trips

Students join their favorite Bushnell University faculty each summer on short-term study abroad experiences to various locations for approximately 3 to 4 weeks. Tuition for these programs includes:

  • 3-6 Bushnell University semester credits
  • Housing and meals
  • Excursion costs (i.e. entrance fees)

International Exchange

Bushnell students can experience a full semester abroad through one of our partnering organizations (World Strides and CCCU Global Ed) or through an approved Bushnell program (contact the study abroad director for more information).

Additional Study Abroad Opportunities

Danook University: South Korea

Students may study for a full semester as an exchange student at Dankook University. The program fee is the same as a normal semester at Bushnell. Classes are taught in English and available for students in any major. Dankook University offers a wide range of courses taught entirely in English through the Department of International Business.

Other Semester Exchange Opportunities

Students are also able to study abroad during the Fall or Spring semester to a variety of different countries through third-party study abroad programs. These programs generally include:

  • housing
  • course registration
  • pre-planned excursions
  • in-country support

We recommend looking at CCCU Global Ed or Veritas (WorldStrides). Meet with your advisor or the Study Abroad Chair for more information on picking a location and program.
