Accelerated Dual Degree Pathways (4 +1) | Bushnell University | Online and On-Campus

Bushnell University’s Accelerated Dual Degree Pathways allow you to begin graduate-level coursework while completing your bachelor’s degree, creating a faster and more affordable path toward earning a master’s degree. Designed for students pursuing leadership opportunities and long-term career advancement, the program combines undergraduate study, graduate coursework, mentorship, and professional development into one streamlined academic experience.

Students can pursue pathways connecting undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, Kinesiology, and Teacher Education with graduate programs such as the MBA, Master of Arts in Sports Management, and Master of Education programs. During the senior year, accepted students replace select undergraduate courses with graduate-level coursework before transitioning directly into their graduate program after completing their bachelor’s degree.

Through faculty mentorship, assistantship opportunities, and workplace experience, students strengthen leadership skills, build professional confidence, and accelerate progress toward graduate education and career goals.

Bushnell’s Accelerated Dual Degree Pathways combine undergraduate coursework with graduate-level study in business, leadership, accounting, sports management, education, and organizational strategy. You’ll strengthen both foundational and advanced knowledge while building practical leadership, communication, and professional skills that prepare you for graduate education and career advancement.

Coursework varies by your selected pathway and concentration, but may include classes in leadership, management, accounting, marketing, finance, organizational behavior, communication, sports management, education, and strategic decision-making. Students also complete graduate orientation requirements, mentorship experiences, assistantships, and applied learning opportunities that support workplace readiness and professional growth.

Experiential learning, faculty mentorship, networking opportunities, and career-focused coursework help students connect academic learning with long-term professional goals throughout the program.

Through assistantships, internships, and workplace partnerships, students gain practical experience while building professional networks across business, sports management, education, finance, and organizational leadership fields.

Business & MBA Track

Earn your bachelor’s degree and MBA on an accelerated timeline while building leadership, communication, finance, and strategic decision-making skills. Students in Accounting or Business Administration begin graduate coursework during their senior year while gaining mentorship, professional experience, and career-focused preparation for leadership roles across business industries.


Sports Management Pathway

Prepare for careers in athletics, coaching, and sports leadership through an accelerated pathway combining undergraduate study with graduate-level sports management coursework. Students build experience in leadership, communication, athletic operations, and organizational management while accelerating progress toward a Master of Arts in Sports Management.


Teacher Education & M.Ed. Pathways

Teacher Education students can accelerate progress toward graduate education through pathways in ESOL or Physical Education. Students strengthen instructional leadership, classroom strategy, and specialized teaching knowledge while earning advanced credentials on a faster timeline.

Admission Requirements

Students interested in Bushnell’s Accelerated Dual Degree Pathways must be enrolled in an eligible undergraduate program with at least one year remaining in their bachelor’s degree and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Accepted students begin graduate coursework after completing at least 90 undergraduate credits while working closely with assigned faculty mentors throughout the pathway.

To remain eligible, students must maintain academic standing, complete graduate orientation requirements, and meet regularly with faculty mentors during both undergraduate and graduate study. The pathway is available for qualifying on-campus and online students pursuing approved business, sports management, or education degree pathways.
