Campus Ministry

Your Faith. Your People. Your Purpose.

Building Faith Beyond the Classroom

Campus Ministry at Bushnell creates opportunities for students to grow in their faith, build authentic community, and live out their calling through chapel, small groups, service projects, mission trips, pastoral care, and campus-wide ministry events.

Through meaningful worship, spiritual formation, and hands-on service, students are encouraged to deepen their relationship with Christ while making an impact on campus and beyond.

Bushnell Chapel

Chapel provides students with a dedicated time to pause, reflect, and grow in faith through worship, teaching, and community. With both daytime and evening chapel options, students can engage in meaningful spiritual experiences led by fellow students, faculty, guest speakers, and worship teams in an encouraging Christ-centered environment.

Small Groups

Our Small Groups provide a Christ-centered community where students can connect, grow, and support one another in their spiritual journeys.

  • Led by students, faculty, or staff, Small Groups create space for authentic faith-based relationships and mentorship
  • Each group explores focused areas of study each semester, building a foundation in prayer, Scripture, and obedience to God’s teachings
  • Small Groups offer opportunities to know and be known, love and be loved, serve and be served, and celebrate together as one body growing in Christ

Local Outreach

Bushnell University offers students meaningful opportunities to serve others in the name of Jesus through partnerships with local ministries and nonprofit organizations. Through campus-wide events and ongoing service projects, students are invited to love their neighbors, meet real community needs, and live out their faith in action.

Embrace the Community Day
Embrace the Community Day is a campus-wide service event where students, faculty, and staff come together to serve local organizations. Held each fall and spring, the university pauses classes to send volunteers into the community, followed by a time of reflection and storytelling in chapel.

Community Service Club
The Community Service Club is a student-led group that organizes ongoing service opportunities throughout the year, helping students stay engaged in consistent, hands-on community impact.

Mission Trips

Cross-cultural service trips and overseas missions give students the opportunity to experience and join in what God is doing around the world while serving others in meaningful ways.

These experiences help students strengthen their faith, grow in compassion, step beyond their comfort zones, and engage with global needs and injustices. Through these trips, students are also inspired to take part in the ongoing work of God’s kingdom.

Past mission trip locations have included San Francisco, Houston, Medford, Puerto Rico, Kenya, Cambodia, and Mexico.

Additional Opportunities to Get Involved

Local Churches

We encourage students to find and build a relationship with a local church.

Our annual Church Fair, held each Fall, is designed to provide students with the opportunity to meet with representatives from a number of local congregations to find out more about their church communities.

Pastoral Care

Campus Ministry staff are available whenever a student needs a safe place for prayer, guidance, support, encouragement, mentoring, and nurturing in the Christian faith.

Appointments can be made through the Office of Student Life, 541-684-7345.
