#10: Will, Stout Join Bushnell Coaching Staff
Bushnell became the new home for a pair of coaches during the 2023-2024 year as Kyle Will took control of the cross country and track programs and Jeremy Stout joined the staff to lead the esports teams.
#9: Softball Knocks Off No. 10 Southern Oregon
On March 29, the Bushnell softball team accomplished something for just the second time in their 25-year history, knocking off an NAIA Top-Ten ranked team as they defeated the defending national champion Southern Oregon, 4-3.
#8: Beacons Display Prowess in the Classroom
Bushnell University continues to be a destination small school for “Tri-Athletes”, those student-athletes that want to receive a top-notch education, serve the Lord, and compete with all of those aspects receiving equal footing and equal emphasis in the athletic department. The academic piece of the puzzle was impressive once again during the 2023-2024 year.
#7: Women’s Soccer Qualifies for Postseason
It was a great season for the Bushnell women’s soccer team which, under first-year head coach Halle Meadows, qualified for the post-season for the first time in seven years.
#6: Women’s Basketball Upsets No. 7 Lewis-Clark State
Just 24 hours after one of the toughest losses in team history, the Beacons bounced back on December 16 for a huge upset win over eventual CCC Champion LC State, knocking off the No. 7-ranked Warriors on the road, 67-56.
#5: Beacons Serve as Champions of Character
With Christ at the heart of the Tri-Athlete Model, Bushnell’s commitment to service, and to modeling the characteristics of the NAIA’s Champions of Character initiative remains the core facet of what makes being a Beacon special.
#4: Bushnell and GCF Launch Beach Volleyball Facility
On Sunday, March 10, Bushnell University Athletics and Grace Community Fellowship officially opened their new Beach Volleyball courts.
#3: Track & Field Sends Three to NAIA Championships
The emergence of a pair of freshman jumpers, along with the continued growth of a senior distance runner, highlighted the 2024 Track & Field seasons for the Beacons.
#2: A Record-Breaking Year
The 2023-2024 year was a record-breaking year for many Beacons, who are highlighted and honored here for what they have done in single games, single seasons, and for some historic careers.
#1: Baseball Wins CCC Tournament
Capping off just their third season since the program launched in 2022, the Bushnell Baseball team had an incredible run in their first post-season where they won the Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament title on May 6.
