Health Insurance
Bushnell University does not provide health insurance coverage. Undergraduates enrolled in 12 or more credit hours are required to provide proof of insurance in order to attend Bushnell University; however, it is up to the student to find a health insurance provider.
Immunizations
Oregon law requires students born on or after January 1, 1957 who are enrolled in 9 or more credit hours at Bushnell University to provide proof of two measles vaccines or meet one of the legal exemptions. Adequate proof is written documentation of the month and year of each dose of the measles. In accordance with Oregon law, the Office of Student Life collects and reviews submitted immunization documentation.
The Office of the Registrar will be notified of students who are not in compliance with Oregon law. Registration to attend classes will not be permitted for students who fail to complete their documentation.

If you were born prior to 1957 you are exempt and do not have to provide dates.
If you were born between 1957 and 1970 and can provide one immunization date given after 1989, please contact the Office of Student Life to document this information.
All others need to provide two dose dates. If you don’t have two dates you can obtain a titer, which is a blood draw to determine if you are immune to measles or not. You can enter the date of the titer on the online form and submit the form. When you receive the results of your titer, please forward that documentation to the Health & Counseling Center.
Bushnell University requires all full-time students (those taking 12 or more credit hours) to carry medical insurance and provide proof of coverage annually.
