Accelerated BSN

Scholarships & Financial Aid

The Lane Community Health Council has partnered with Bushnell University to address the ongoing nursing shortage in our region and increase diverse representation in healthcare.

Eligible students in Bushnell’s ABSN program can now apply to receive awards of up to $21,000 ($7,000 per semester) toward tuition costs.

Through generous donations to the University, various scholarship funds have been set up.  Current and incoming RN-BSN and Accelerated BSN (ABSN) students are eligible to apply online each year for awards from any of the endowed nursing funds.

Federal student loan resources are limited and many students find it necessary to secure additional financing.  Students seeking to borrow additional funds may wish to consider borrowing from a private lender. This loan requires a credit check and often a cosigner. You may borrow up to the cost of attendance minus any other financial aid received. Interest rates can be variable or fixed and other rates, terms, and conditions will vary by lender. We encourage you to shop around for the best loan to fit your needs.

ABSN students at Bushnell University, qualify for a couple of university grants and scholarships. However, we actively encourage you to seek outside scholarships tailored to nursing students, as numerous organizations offer financial assistance for your accelerated program.

Our commitment is to assist you in navigating the external scholarship landscape, providing valuable resources on various programs, application processes, and deadlines. The Outside Scholarships section serves as a valuable resource, providing information on various scholarship programs, application processes, and deadlines.
