What You’ll Study
How the Curriculum is Structured
The accounting curriculum combines core technical knowledge with hands-on application and business context. You will build a strong foundation in financial and managerial accounting while developing skills in auditing, taxation, and financial reporting.
As you progress, you will take advanced courses such as Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Accounting Information Systems, where you apply concepts through real-world scenarios and data analysis. You will also explore areas like nonprofit accounting, business law, and managerial finance.
Throughout the program, you will use tools like Excel and accounting and financial software to analyze data and solve problems. All students complete a required internship, giving you the opportunity to apply your learning in a professional setting before graduation.
Qualified seniors may take up to six graduate-level credits as part of Bushnell’s five-year dual degree program, earning both a BS and an MBA on an accelerated timeline.
