Communication Program Overview

Bachelor of Arts in Communication | Bushnell University | Eugene, Oregon

Master the art of connection. Communicate with impact. Lead with clarity. Bushnell’s Communication degree teaches you to be a clear, ethical, and confident communicator across any career path. In small, highly interactive classes with personal faculty mentorship, you’ll build practical skills in speaking, writing, listening, and message design while mastering communication theory, research, and audience engagement. Choose from three flexible pathways to customize your degree: Relational Communication, Public Relations, or Flexible Communication. Through hands-on practice, you’ll develop both broad theoretical foundation and targeted career skills for organizational, public, and community settings. Rooted in a Christian worldview, this program emphasizes character, ethical leadership, and purpose, preparing you to create meaningful messages, navigate complex relationships, and communicate with integrity wherever strong communication skills matter, which is basically everywhere.

“The Communication program truly has been one of the most impactful things in my life. I didn’t know what to expect when I randomly decided to be a Comm major the summer before attending my freshmen year. I’ve never learned so much about people – the way they communicate, how to understand them, how to listen properly, and how to have healthy conflict.”
