Bushnell’s Master of Arts in Teaching combines online coursework with in-person clinical experiences in Oregon schools. Designed for aspiring educators who already hold a bachelor’s degree, the program provides the flexibility to complete graduate coursework while preparing for Oregon teacher licensure.
Throughout the program, you’ll work closely with experienced faculty mentors and cooperating teachers as you develop instructional knowledge, classroom management skills, and the confidence to lead your own classroom.
The Master of Arts in Teaching offers two teacher licensure pathways based on your career goals.
Elementary Education
Prepare to teach multiple subjects in self-contained elementary classrooms while building expertise in child development, literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, health, and classroom instruction.
Secondary Education
Prepare to teach middle or high school students within your chosen endorsement area through advanced coursework, instructional methods, adolescent development, and classroom practice.
Working with your faculty advisor, you’ll also select the endorsement area that best aligns with the subject or grade level you plan to teach.
Admission to the Master of Arts in Teaching program includes:
